Josh Caffe 353x250About Josh Caffe:

East London resident Josh Caffe has built a cult following with his trademark blend of self-assured ghetto-tech, US house, tech house and deep house. With DJ sets every weekend and residencies across London, its little wonder that he’s steadily become such an in-demand DJ.

With previous nights at two of East London’s most influential sweat-boxes, Vogue Fabrics and Dalston Superstore, Josh currently holds residencies at Shade (The Ace Hotel) and the brand new night at East Bloc, Night Sheen co-hosted with Hannah Holland.

As adept as playing in small intimate basement venues as he is at large clubs and festivals, Josh is no stranger to Glastonbury, Lovebox, Summer Rites and the growing Farr Festival. Added to dj sets in Detroit, JD Samson’s night Scissor Sundays and regular sets at the infamous Westgay in New York, plus sets at both previous MTV Awards and Brit Awards after-parties, it’s not hard to see why he helps lead the charge for true underground house in an increasingly mainstream and popular genre.

Now Josh has turned his hand to production and vocals. His first track, with Batty Bass boss Hannah Holland, Play With The Maid, became an underground hit in New York, championed by The Carry Nation and receiving many plays at club nights such as Westgay, Spektrum and even New York Pride. A remix by The Cucarachas was also featured on The Baseware presents WMC Essentials release. His follow up ‘Caffe Culture’ EP series with David Newtron (aka Jeroen de Pessemier of The Subs) was well received with the likes of DJ Mag nominating Let Love Ruin as Killer Track of the Month and receiving support from Claude von Stroke, Huxley and Joyce Muniz to name a few. More recently Josh has achieved success with his collaboration with Punks Jump Up & Robert Owens, which has received regular Radio 1 radio play championed by Annie Mac.

Since then he’s gone on to work with production luminaries such as Leo Zero, Louie Balo and Boys Own legend Terry Farley, with new singles in collaboration with Hannah Holland and Geddes (No Fit State) on the near horizon.

Not content with honing his DJing skills abroad and gaining production experience, Josh has been developing a live show with frequent collaborator David Newtron, with the new name Out of Eden.
