Track of the Week – SGR #141 – October 2014

I’ll be honest here. I had no idea who Reverse Commuter was. And while the whole “Exposure” album (yes, electronic artists do make them) is a melodic delight, it was this track in particular that instantly peaked my interest. You see, Douglas J. McCarthy is best known as the singer of one of my favorite groups of all time, Nitzer Ebb. So naturally, I had find out what this collaboration would produce. And what I found is a prized listen indeed. Surprisingly ethereal with a dub-reggae infused bass-line underneath Douglas’ cool crooning, “Whispers In” is audio gold. Myxzlplix
