A bit About RICHARD.GEAR:
RiCHARD.GEAR is the alter ego of Austin born and bred DJ/Producer, Davey Schacherl. Since 2005, he’s taken Austin nightlife by storm via his various events and appearances and the cutting edge or vintage tunes he plays. RiCHARD.GEAR has since established himself as an indispensable crusader for dance music at home and abroad.
At the tender age of twelve, Davey received his first pair of turntables for Christmas and, while most kids were playing basketball or blowing up G.I. Joe’s, the young lad was busy mixing classic disco records from his parents crates.
With production credits, remixes and releases on labels such as Austin’s own Whiskey Pickle Records, which he manages and co-owns, Italian disco label, Mozzarella Recordings, Ding Bat Records and Kapa Records. Plus forthcoming releases on Love Not Money Records and bodytalk, RiCHARD.GEAR is no stranger to the studio.
