Welcome to Label Spotlight, where we share information on music labels who’s music we think is worth a mention. Some labels big, some labels small, some labels House, some labels Techno. In the end, it’s all about the incredible music these hard working music producers and labels are putting out. Having ran labels in the past, we understand the hard work that goes into finding great music and trying to get it to the rest of the world. We are excited at the chance to share information on these labels and exposing our listeners to some new music they might not otherwise hear.

For our July Label Spotlight we are proud to present Scotland based Bullet:Dodge Records. We are big fans of the label and have played there music on the Subdivisions Global Radio Show (SGR) no less then 6 plus times in 2014. We think Bullet:Dodge is one of the most consistent labels out in the market today. Whether it be Tech House, House, or Detroit vibe Techno and Technohouse we always look forward to Bullet:Dodge releases in our in box!

Bullet:Dodge which was founded in 2008 by Gareth Whitehead, a vastly experienced and highly prolific producer, remixer, DJ and artist that required an outlet for his signature brand of deep, dubby, tech-house and minimal. Tantamount to this, Gareth understood that the new era of digital distribution and expanding online communities was creating a new wave of forward thinking, imaginative and highly skilled producers, and he was determined to provide a stage from upon which the very best new international talent could freely express itself.

Bullet:Dodge Records was established to provide a forum for musicians, DJ’s and producers, both established and new, to challenge the limits of contemporary electronic club music. It focuses on delivering consistently innovative house and techno that pushes boundaries and charters new musical territories whilst retaining a DJ friendly ethos that ensures the Bullet:Dodge label is synonymous with the club culture that inspired its creation.

With an impressive arsenal of deep, funky grooves and a willingness to explore dark, abstract territories, Bullet:Dodge records has gone from strength to strength. The exponential growth of the labels reputation since its inception has been down to the staggering quality and consistency of releases from the likes of Carl Cox, Robert Hood, Arnaud Le Texier, Silicone Soul, Vince Watson, Dirt Crew, Burnski, Secret Cinema, Greg Gow, Werner Niedermeier, Matt Tolfrey plus many more.

Bullet:Dodge Records has been kind enough to provide the fine tracks below for free download. Please give them a click and listen, all we ask is that you be kind enough to show your support for Bullet:Dodge Records by visiting their back catalog of music on Beatport, Traxsource and Juno Download – Enjoy! – MM
